Have you ever thought about having a Valentine’s Day wedding because it just seems so fun and romantic? Well, this sweet couple did!
Hannah and Dylan have been together for over 9 years, and they decided to have a small, secret Valentine’s Day wedding. Only their immediate family members, including their beloved dog, Luca, were present. No one else knew they got married until the day after, when they posted on social media!
In the days leading up to their wedding day, they relaxed at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor. They even had a barbecue with family catered by Lewis Barbecue. On their wedding day, they had their first look right outside their cottage before heading off to downtown Charleston. We walked around and took their couples portraits at some of their favorite spots in Charleston.
After photos downtown, their ceremony was at the Cottages at Charleston Harbor on the beautiful shared lawns of cottages 4 to 6. Dylan surprised Hannah with a live wedding painter. I’ve noticed a lot of my couples now booking a painter to capture a specific moment from their wedding day in a unique way! But one of my favorite parts of the ceremony was when Hannah walked down the aisle twice because she forgot her bouquet the first time, such a funny moment LOL!
During their intimate dinner reception, they had a private Chef, Steve Harvey, cook everyone a hibachi dinner. You’ll notice in the photos that they really leaned into the Valentine’s Day wedding vibe in all their wedding details, from her nails painted pink with a heart to red heart sunglasses. Their dinner tablescape was filled with different shades of pink and red and, of course, hearts! All their wedding day details were so cute and romantic. They even had a vintage pink car during their couple’s portraits!
This wedding held a special place in my heart because I had the privilege of photographing Hannah when we were both teenagers and she would model for me. It was a ‘full-circle’ moment for me to capture their love story on their special day!
